Resident Animals

The Nature Center is home to a few special animals that have been injured or for other reasons cannot survive in the wild. Many are accustomed to being handled by staff naturalists and provide an opportunity to teach visitors about the kinds of wild animals that live in this area--sometimes in our own backyards! Some of the animals are always on view to Nature Center visitors, while others are the subjects of special weekend programs.
